There were many other kings during this period. We also enter the period of the prophets, who
prophesied against Israel's disobedience, the coming destruction of Jerusalem, and the coming of the Messiah. The following dates are when the prophets began to prophesy: Amos & Hosea (755 B.C.) Isaiah (740 B.C.) Micah (725 B.C.) (Joel & Jonah dates are uncertain).
11. 865 B.C. Elijah the prophet, King Ahab, Elisha the prophet, Naaman, & King Josiah.
Josiah was king between 640 - 609 B.C. During his reign these prophets began prophesying: Zephaniah (630 B.C.) Jeremiah (628 B.C.) Nahum (612 B.C.) Two years after Josiah, Habakkuk started prophesying in (607 B.C.) Ezekiel began to prophecy in (593 B.C.)
12. 586 B.C. Daniel in Babylon. The book of Daniel was Daniel's personal journal.
In 586 B.C. Jerusalem was destroyed as the prophets prophesied. The people were either killed or taken to Babylon as slaves. Jeremiah, Ezekiel, & Daniel were taken into the 70 year captivity, where Ezekiel wrote Ezekiel, & Jeremiah wrote Lamentations, which are 5 poems about the destruction of Jerusalem.
*All dates are approximate and are taken from Strong's concordance.
After the 70 year captivity, Esther became Queen; it was about here that Obadiah prophesied. It was at this time that the following Bible books were written: Nehemiah, Haggai, Zechariah Ezra, and Malachi.
Nehemiah left Babylon and started to rebuild the walls in Jerusalem. In 520 B.C. at the urging of Haggai and Zechariah, Zerubbabel started to rebuild the temple, it was completed five years later on March 12th 515 B.C. and Ezra became the priest. During this time Malachi the last book of the Old Testament was written. The four hundred year period from Malachi to John the Baptist, is known as the silent years.
However, during the silent years, Daniel's prophecy of the four empires was being fulfilled. The Babylonians were ruling when Daniel interpreted the dream of the image of gold, silver, brass, iron and clay. But Daniel tells us that the Babylonians were conquered by the Persians. Then in 334 B.C. the Persians were conquered by the Greeks, led by Alexander the Great. Eventually the Romans conquered the Greeks, and Sixty-three years before the Messiah, the Roman general Pompey the Great, took control of Jerusalem. And so it was that the whole land of Israel became part of the Roman Empire. Under Herod 19 years B.C. the rebuilding of the third temple began. The last Old Testament prophet was John the Baptist ......

The Glory Story
The following content is for the New Testament DVD animated film
1. Jesus the birth and miracles.
Follow the life of Christ, from when the angel appears to the young Virgin Mary, to the first miracle, of turning water into wine at a wedding, through to the withered fig tree, preparing the way for part 2 of this series, the final days in Jerusalem.
2. Jesus the final days in Jerusalem.
From the triumphal entry into Jerusalem riding a donkey, experience the whole of the passion story: the Arrest, the Trial, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection, the Ascension of Christ, right through to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, on the day of Pentecost.
3. The life of the Apostle Paul (part 1)
This story is absolutely amazing, and comes alive as we chronologically date Paul on his missionary journeys. Follow the story from Paul’s Damascus conversion experience, through all the events in the Book of Acts, right up to when Paul stands before the mad Emperor Nero in Rome.
4. The life of the Apostle Paul (part 2)
In this unfolding story we also include where Paul wrote his letters to the churches. This is very helpful and gives the audience an immediate understanding to the New Testament letters, without any further study. Feel the New Testament come alive in this wonderful presentation.
5. The life of Paul (part 3) Plus New Testament history.
What happened to Paul after he was released from prison?
When and where were all of the other New Testament letters written?
What happened at the mountain fortress of Masada?
How can I make sense out of the Book of Revelation?
6. Also included in the DVD/CD pack is a chronology chart.
You just write the dates in the book of Acts for example: In Acts chapter 12… write the year 41. This is when Herod started persecuting the church, and James was executed.
7. Also included in the DVD/CD pack, are four maps of Paul’s missionary journeys.
The Bible comes alive in this amazing Old Testament and New Testament DVD/CD series. Never before in the history of the world has the Bible been presented in such an easy to understand format.
Go with Paul on his journey. Then stay with him, in Jerusalem for the last days of the Old Covenant. Just as the prophet Daniel said it would happen under Roman rule, sacrifices would cease, and there would be a time of great tribulation. Josephus the Jewish historian, records that over a million Israelites were killed in this tribulation, as the temple and Jerusalem were destroyed in 70 A.D. just as Jesus said would happen, in the lifetime of the people He was speaking to in the Gospels.
When the author of this work became a Christian, he spent the next five years just reading the Bible. That is all he did, night and day Bible reading for five years continuously, but it took him twelve years before he saw ... The Glory Story.
This presentation has been developed over a twelve year period, so that you the viewer can understand in four or five viewings, what it took the author twelve years to understand.
Just one story from Genesis to Revelation ... The Glory Story.
